I’ve always found transitioning into fall a bit of a struggle here in MIA. The weather has by no means cooled down thus far, but you definitely want to feel apart of fall. With that being said I’m extremely jealous of all of you ladies that can easily whip out your blanket scarves and sip on a PSL’s right about now! While the weather may not allow for warm drinks and cozy layers just yet, playing around with color palettes can definitely help to make you feel apart of the season.
Sticking to warmer shades and textures can help transition your looks into fall without having to sacrifice absolutely dying in the heat [yes, it’s that bad!] Earthy tones like brown and olive green aren’t perfect shades for transitioning because their not too harsh but are warm enough. Textures like suede and leather are also great transitions and work well into fall and winter. Now that we’re on the topic of suede, these suede strappy heels are a absolute must. I picked them up during the summer knowing they would work flawlessly for fall and winter. And if you’re feeling a bit more edgy, try these. The sky scrapper platform will make you have legs for days!
Although the romper i’m wearing is no longer available, I’ve made sure to link tons of similar ones. Olive green is booming this fall and i’m totally swooning over the different styles retailers have brought out this season. If I had to pick one though, this one is my favorite. I just might have to pick it up for myself!
I’m wishing you all a happy and safe Thursday! Hurricane Matthew is expected to hit this afternoon so I pray everyone is safe and sound!
